Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2023-12-21T22:03Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
Activity ID: 2023-12-21T22:03:00-CME-001 (version 3)
Source Location: S29W70
Note Keyword:
Faint: Faint event; may affect type assignment
FF: Event fails/disappears before exiting COR2
OFL: Outflowing material at the back of the CME
OVR: Event partially overlaps with another CME
Source Signature Keyword:
PEA: Post eruption arcade
DIM: Dimming
Morphology Keyword:
FS: Flux Rope and Shock Candidate
Note: CME in the southwest with multiple faint fronts best seen in C3 difference imagery. Its source is likely a minor eruption marked by minor dimming/faint post-eruptive arcades(~S29W70) south of Active Region 3519 seen in AIA 193 after 2023-12-21T21:30Z and possibly a rising loop in the SW best seen in SDO AIA 171 starting at about 2023-12-21T21:06Z.

The List of CME Analysis already entered:
Event Type Catalog
Measurement TypeCME measurement type: Leading Edge (LE), Shock Front (SH), Right Hand Boundary (RHB), Left Hand Boundary (LHB), Black/White Boundary (BW), Prominence Core (COR), Disconnection Front (DIS), Trailing Edge (TE).
Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type
